Jessica Fontanarosa

About the team Jessica Fontanarosa LVT, SDEP® Certified Clinical Sonographer Jessica Fontanarosa, LVT, is a dedicated mobile sonographer with a strong foundation in veterinary technology and applied science. After beginning her studies at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, she continued at Bergen Community College in New Jersey, where she earned her degree in Veterinary Technology and Applied Sciences. During this time, she completed an externship at a veterinary hospital in Staten Island where she then continued. Her early career involved hands-on work in emergency surgeries and the care of hospitalized patients, this laid a solid foundation for her in both clinical care and medical procedures. As her career progressed, Jessica developed a deep interest in holistic and integrative veterinary medicine. She assisted with acupuncture, laser therapy, and crafting dietary plans and supplements while reviewing and studying how alternative approaches and therapies can benefit animal health. These studies marked her first exposure to sonography, sparking a passion that would shape her career. As a mobile sonographer, Jessica thrives on the dynamic environment of visiting various hospitals and engaging with veterinary staff. For her, each day is an opportunity to refine her skills, meet colleagues, and make a difference to countless patients. Committed to helping all animals, Jessica dedicates time to continuous learning, especially collaborating with experienced specialists and attending regular educational labs. Jessica also volunteers at a wildlife sanctuary and is working towards her wildlife rehabilitation certification, especially relishing time spent engaging with racoons. Outside of ultrasound, she enjoys camping with her beagle, Piston, and her German Shepherd, Baylee. She lives with her dogs and two turtles in Staten Island, New York where she is renovating her recently purchased childhood home. When she visits your hospital, ask her why she loves interior decorating! Learn More about SDEP® Learn More About Our Sonographers
