Rebecca Hamilton

About the team Rebecca Hamilton SDEP® Certified Clinical Sonographer Rebecca Hamilton, SDEP® Mobile Sonographer, is a passionate veterinary sonographer with a foundation in psychology and over fifteen years of hands-on experience in the veterinary field. She holds an both associate degree in Liberal Arts and a certification in canine and feline dentistry, and she is currently advancing her expertise as a student in a Certified Veterinary Technician program. Rebecca’s journey into veterinary medicine began early, with a deep-seated love for animals dating back to childhood. This passion was reignited when, at the age of 20, she cared for her first bottle-fed kittens and began working in the veterinary industry. Since then, she has embraced continuous learning, constantly adapting her unique skills to the practices at each workplace and broadening her perspective on various approaches to animal care. Rebecca discovered SonoPath when the team visited her hospital, sparking her interest in veterinary ultrasound. Inspired by their work, she immersed herself fully into the field observing scans, identifying organs, and asking in-depth questions. Her commitment paid off when she earned a position with the SonoPath team where she continues to thrive in her role as a mobile sonographer. Rebecca also instructs at the hands-on SDEP® abdomen labs at the SonoPath Education Center, further enhancing the collaborative spirit among her colleagues. Beyond her career, Rebecca embraces life at Greenwood Lake as a federally licensed Coast Guard captain, where she enjoys boating and leads charters. When not on the water, she explores the outdoors with her Golden Retriever, Tanner, as well as hiking and fishing. Rebecca’s dedication, curiosity, and multifaceted experiences make her a valued asset to SonoPath and the field of veterinary sonography. When she visits your hospital, ask her how she gets to be backstage at so many different concerts. Learn More […]
