Shari Reffi
C.V.T., SDEP® Certified Clinical Veterinary Sonographer and Instructor
Shari Reffi, CVT, is an SDEP® certified clinical sonographer with NJ Mobile. A twenty-five-year veteran of the veterinary science field, Shari’s extensive and varied resume includes a degree in Exercise Science, research and development at medical corporation Datascope, Ridgewood Veterinary Hospital, and clinical veterinary ultrasound.
Shari’s commitment to animal welfare strongly influences her approach to sonography; she recognizes the level of support required to care for every animal in both clinical and non-clinical settings. In her role as a mobile sonographer, Shari dedicates herself to the unique ‘superpower’ that it provides: the ability to ‘see’ with sound. She is an active participant of a number of associations including NJVTA, Sussex County Poultry Fanciers Association, National Reining Horse Association, and 4-H. Through these, her NJ Veterinary Certification, and SDEP® instructor education, Shari continually raises the bar in knowledge and method to promote diagnostic efficiency across every aspect of her work. Her passion for precision is seen within her growth at SonoPath including with NJ Mobile, the launch of the CT Imaging Center, and SDEP® ultrasound training courses. Shari continues to progress and joins the elite team of Mindray engineers within the SonoPath team.
Outside of her work with ultrasound, Shari is a keen poultry exhibitor. She loves horseback riding, kayaking, exploring national parks, and reading. Shari lives in Sussex County, NJ with her family and their many pets including a Border Collie named “Banjo”, a Quarter Horse called “Cowboy”, two rabbits “Adriana” and “Twix”, eleven chickens, and two bonus horses “Ed” and “Buster”. When she visits your clinic, be sure to ask what her childhood mode of transportation to the local Dairy Queen was (and her favorite order- a banana split!).
